The Lakehouse

I got lucky again last week for I've won a pair of invites for the advance screening of "The Lakehouse" from Pex. The contest this was 2-part: 1st is the questionnaire and in the 2nd part, I need to post my most romantic love letter or poem. So during the eve of the contest draw I tried to make a love poem which was dedicated to I don't know who.. (Is it really that I don't know or I just tried to deny that it was dedicated to someone..) Well, I was able to come up with a love letter and surprisingly my entry was chosen out of the many entries that they've got. I was really surprised for I felt that my entry was not really romantic in any sense.. I still don't have a title for my poem.. Well, I think I'll let others be the judge if my entry was really romantic in any way...

My friends told me that I'm just lucky for I keep on winning during raffle events for this is already my 4th or 5th time to win in Pex. Well, I do really hope that I'm really lucky and hopefully I would be able to win the grand prize in lotto! =)

The only sad thing in winning in this kind of event is that I always get a pair of invites but I don't know whom I'm gonna ask out.. Like for the movie "The Lakehouse", they say that it is the most romantic movie of the year but I don't have a date which makes me feel lonely.. =( Good thing that somehow I've got friends who's willing to accompany me to watch the movies I've won partially because the movie is for free.. Hehehe!

Hopefully my luck won't run out and I would still be able to win invites or even lottery draws! ü

…Can a broken trust be ever mended? Someone promised me that the excess money will be kept and be used for some important matters like tuition fee and books but later found out he had already used a portion of it. I was even the one who said that he could keep the excess money for I believe in his word that the money will be only put inside the drawer and will be used for the tuition fee…

…Why do I always feel sad when I find out that one of my good girl friends finally found their Mr. Right? Maybe I’m just a bit jealous because I know that I can no longer be that close to her not like before…? But why this time where I am not that really close to this girl friend of mine but I feel saddened when she told me that she already has a boyfriend…

Discussion.. Discussion..

Hay.. Had a long talk with my uncle last weekend regarding the status of our building.. Actually at first I was a bit troubled with what might we talk about because when he called me up last week and told me that he wanted to talk to me, I just said "yes" and didn't anymore bother to ask what will we talk about. So for the whole week, I can't help myself to think what might have I done wrong because it is just the first time he called me up to talk about something.

During the talk, we discussed about regarding the status of the house: what had been done and completed, what's present or not in our house, etc. After, he told me to look for an apartment or studio-type place worth around some price and he will be the one to pay for the rent for one (1) whole year while waiting for the completion of the building in order for us to have a more decent place to live in because in our current place, there is no real place called "wash-room"; only an improvised wash-room so maybe you could imagine how hard our life is there. Well, I'm not saying that I'm complaining about our present situation but you couldn't blame me for wishing for a more decent place to stay.

We also discussed regarding the tuition of my brother. He said that he is also willing to help out in paying their tuition if in case we really can't find a way to pay for their tuition.. Hay..

Well, now my problem is on how to tell my dad about it because he might feel that we are complaining a lot and it just so happen that my uncle learned about it and offered to help. But I can't also blame my uncle for helping us out because of our present situation.

Hopefully the construction on our place would really continue this coming 15 January 2006 as what the engineer promised us for the nth time so that by around April or May of this year, the whole building will now be already finished...

Shomai Galore!!

Just went on an eating spree last Saturday with my officemate after playing billiards on one of the malls here. I was actually looking to have congee as my snack before going to the basketball gym when we suddenly came across this restaurant. We we're checking out their menu and was about to leave when suddenly their cashier asked us if we would want to try their two (2) new promos. Upon doing some computations, we decided to give it a try. We chose their promo that's worth 99PHP wherein it includes one serving of Yang Chao Fried Rice and an Eat-All-You-Can Shomai. Did I really ate a lot of shomai that time. When I tried to count how many shomai did I ate, I was surprise to learn that I ate a whopping 23 pieces of shomai in one serving of rice and in one sitting! Boy, I was a bit dizzy after eating that much.. Hahaha!! No more shomai for me this coming week.. Hahaha!
