Shanghai Trip

Last weekend, I was able to go to Shanghai for a much needed and delayed vacation trip. I cannot say that I was able to relax during the trip but it was a bit energizing with the change in scenery...

Trip was worth it for we only paid $80 for the whole trip (Lodging, transfers, food, and tour entrances) minus the airfare, visa fee, and airport terminal fee. With the tour package that we availed, we were able to go through some of Shanghai's landmark like the Ocean Aquarium, TV station that has a revolving restaurant at the top, Nanjing Road, etc... We also had the chance to ride on their famous MagLev train. The ride on the MagLev train was such a nice experience. They say that it is currently the fastest train in the world with a top speed of 430kph!

Breakfast in Eton Hotel was also great for there was one breakfast where we ate from 0630H till 0800H! I think that I gained some weight again during the trip for we were almost eating the whole time.. =(

One of our stop was to watch their well-knowned acrobatic show.. They are international performers and while watching, I can't help but feel awed with their superb tricks and performances. There was even one girl that looks like that she doesn't have any bones in her body for she was able to turn upside down while laying down with things on her toes and arms. There was also one act wherein, the acrobats were able to put up around 10 chairs up in succession and in each chair, there's an acrobat with both her feet up in the sky!

Of course, a trip wouldn't be complete without buying "pasalubongs" for my officemates and friends. But the only things that I was able to buy are those bags that my officemates asked me to buy. Good thing though that they like the designs that I bought or else I wouldn't know what to do with those bags if in case they wouldn't get it (FYI, most of the bags that they asked me to buy are ladies bags). I was also able to buy a bag as a birthday gift for my little brother. The said though was that I was not able to buy something for myself. Initially I was hoping to be able to buy either a Gundam or a Generation 1 Transformers toy figure but our trip did not pass through near any of the shops that sell the said toys...

We also got the chance to get to know each other better. We were all in all 15, 15 people coming from different deparments in our company. At least we get the chance to know a bit of each ther. During our last night, one of our tour member even treat all of us in XinTianTi Starbucks.ü

So here I am, one week later after the vacation, looking at some of our pictures and reminiscing of the happenings during the trip.. And also looking forward to my next vacation..
